Do I need to book a DJ as well?
Included in our quote is music from 8pm right up until 12.30am.
We travel with lots of tracks on various devices, and we have some great party playlists suitable for all occasions, but you are welcome to create your own party playlist on your own device which we’ll be happy to play through our PA system.
Most clients find that a DJ is not required when booking The Vertigo Band, but if you want one, we work with some great DJ’s across the Midlands who we can highly recommend, who can share our PA system if necessary.
How far will you travel?
The band have performed all over the UK and are happy to travel.
Based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire the band are extremely busy across The Midlands and regularly travel up and down the M6, M5, M54 as well as Mid Wales.
How much space do you require?
If you want us to dance around then a stage/performance area of 12′ x 12′ is ideal, but we’ve squeezed into some impossibly tight spaces over the years and still every occasion has been a blast and a huge success.
Get in touch if you’re unsure, One of us will be able to help you make a decision.
How long does it take you to set up?
A full band set up with PA and lighting rig will take around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the proximity of parking, obstacles like stairs and having clear access to the room. Should you require the band to be set up before your guests arrive we are able to accommodate this for a small additional fee, to be negotiated. This covers for our time, as I'm sure you will appreciate.
Sound check will fall inside the set up time, and last around 5-10 minutes.
We want to make sure we sound the best possible for your event, and during the evening, our settings can be altered by band members from the stage whilst we perform.
Do you require food and drink?
We do ask for 5 bottles of still water, or some soft drinks.
We would appreciate it if food was provided for the band during the evening.
Where can I/we see you perform?
Most of our events are private functions but we play a handful of public shows during the year which we would love you to attend!
Please visit our Facebook page to be updated on public events near you.

We’ve got it covered! Whilst The Vertigo Band is made up of a core of musicians, we have a number of rehearsed and gig ready “Deps” who can stand in at short notice. We’ve been performing since 2009 as The Vertigo Band and have never been in a situation to let anyone or any occasion down.
